Death of the Party Events
You may be wondering, “Am I the only person who feels this way after my loss? Do others grieve in the same way and can we connect?” Grief can be lonely. However, you aren’t alone.
Death of the Party is Life and Soul’s event series. We invite adults of all walks of life to our community offerings. Our events have offered a variety of opportunities, from grief-themed museum tours and somatic workshops to performance showcases and intimate mixers.
We center our LGBTQIA+ community’s safety at events, and extend a warm invite to all allies. We are committed to creating a safer and braver space for our diverse community.
We partner with many organizations to bring Death of the Party events to different spaces and groups. Past and current partners include: event spaces, museums, cemeteries, therapists, artists, funeral homes, death education organizations, and LGBTQIA+ organizations.

We host events with various themes:
Grief-centered: Events for grievers who have experienced the death of someone significant in their lives. At these events we invite guests to creatively explore and express grief in community.
Death education-centered: Events for all who are open to learning about and exploring death education with others. These events include end-of-life planning opportunities.
“Outings”: Public events hosted by partner institutions that the Death of the Party community is invited to attend. The focus of these public events spans themes of grief, mortality, and death education. Outings are an additional way for the community to cultivate relationships and to explore the creativity of artists, event planners, and founders in the grief and death space.
